CHTP Information
The CHTP is excited to welcome our users back to the facility for more regular use! We are currently training new users, and we will continue to offer operator-assisted work as a drop-off service. As a reminder, the facility is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Given the public nature of the CHTP, with users from across the UBC campus, we request that all users wear masks when moving around the CHTP and interacting with CHTP staff or other users. Masks are required until June 30, 2022 for all UBC indoor spaces.
USER ACCESS
All new users must be registered with a project (see Getting Started). To obtain card access, new users must take a short orientation. Contact the Director for details and scheduling.
CHTP users are free to enter the facility as needed during our regular operational hours (8:00 am – 6:00 pm). All usage must be booked on the on-line calendars.
SAMPLE SUBMISSION
For operator-assisted mode, users will be able to participate via Zoom during the sessions, but will not be present at the CHTP.
- Samples in a container and labelled with your name
- Must include the sample submission form with the sample
TRAINING ON EQUIPMENT
Submit a training request. Please note that training is best completed when you already have samples ready for imaging and can return to complete your first session within 1 week of the training.
- Training will be a hybrid of on-line and in-person one-on-one instruction
- Masks are needed for the in-person training session
- Once trained, you will be able to work independently
- Your supervisor will be billed for any training course that you begin, so please ensure that you only request training that you will actually use
